CLASS 1: INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS AND CASE ANALYSIS
Welcome to Class 1! We spent the first class going over what a case study is and the different components to a case study. We will be continuously using this format throughout the class so familiarize yourselves with the steps. We also began building our business toolkit by learning about a very fundamental tool- the SWOT analysis. In the next few classes, we will be introducing more tools and concepts to add to your toolkit!

CLASS 2: INTRODUCTION TO entrepreneurship and porter's 5 forces
Welcome to Class 2! Today, we talked about entrepreneurship and what it means to be an entrepreneur. We brainstormed, as a class, creative products and solutions to problems that we ran into in our daily lives such as transportation. Another tool, Porter's 5 Forces, was introduced to develop our case analysis skills. We briefly talked about the three components to value proposition and what it means for the company.

CLASS 3: BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS AND INTRODUCTION TO MARKETING
Welcome to Class 3: Today we talked about marketing and the different methods of marketing. The business model canvas was introduced in class today and should come in handy while doing case analysis.
Homework:
Choose a company that you are interested in and fill out the business model canvas for that company. Make sure you familiarize yourself with the three tools that we have learnt so far.

CLASS 4: GOOGLE GLASS CASE STUDY
In class today, we did our first case study presentation. When Google Glass first launched, it gained a lot of popularity and attention but things soon fell apart for Google Glass when privacy issues and safety concerns were addressed. Google has asked for help and laid out four possible solutions that we could choose from for the future of this product:
1) Re-launch product to the retail market
2) Permanently shut down the project
3) Re-launch product to the enterprise market
4) Sell Glass to a third party purchaser

CLASS 6: MARKETING CASE PRESENTATION AND ACCOUNTING
Today's class, we started off with presentations on the marketing case study. Then, the students were introduced to accounting concepts, specifically balance sheets and the technical terms that follow. The students should now be able to read and understand a balance sheet and determine whether the company would be a good investment or not.

CLASS 7: UNDERSTANDING HR AND CASE STUDY OVERVIEW
Today's class, the students were introduced to organizational behaviour and human resources. Several HR concepts just as job rotation, job enrichment and job integration were introduced. The students should be able to now understand the four major components to HR.

CLASS 8: SUMMARIZING THE PARIS BAGUETTE CASE STUDY
Today's class, the student spent time summarizing the facts from the case study and understanding the bakery industry in Korea, China and the US. The students should now all have a solid idea on what happened in the case study and should have formulated their main recommendation.
